I’m on the last repeat of the baby blanket for my niece to be. 18 rows to go!
Now if only I had time to knit. At least the husband has stopped vomiting.

is finally here. When I went to Pittsburgh for a weekend in early June, I was fortunate enough to schedule this when Knit One was having a HUGE sale – 25-40% off of ALL YARN IN THE STORE. Of course, I failed to purchase any 40% off yarn, but here is what I did manage to get:
Wow there is a lot to catalogue. First, 2 hanks of Koigu KPPPM in 2 different colors. Then 2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in 2 different colors for some awesome fetchings. Then 5 skeins of Rowan Country in Heather. Then a close up of the Malabrigo I purchased, 3 hanks of, leaving ONE orphan (oh well). Next batch:
Four skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Chunky for a vest for my mom – like the 2 I have knitted before from Speed Knitting. Then 2 skeins of Noro Kureyon for another scarf from Last Minute knitted gifts that I can hopefully gift away.
Now, this little tiramisu baby blanket, I have pictures of it finally:
Back up to NYC tomorrow, on-site tour/meeting of staff to see how this place is shaping out – hopefully a job offer will follow close behind. Going to try and find Purl via the wonderful subway system – I have it written down so I'm not looking at a huge map like the tourist stereotype. More later on
What does one do when they are poor? Buy more books of course.
Much to my dismay, the attempt at the tiramisu blanket ended badly. No way in hell that I was going to make gauge on a size I hook. So I tried an K. Now, I'm going to try an N and see if I am doing something wrong. First sock is almost done, the gusset has been completed and I'm working my way down the foot. Mom loves them. Next sock project will be done on Magic Loop and probably with Koigu KPPPM. Any pattern suggestions will be greatly welcomed
Still unemployed. Tomorrow, I'm heading to a job fair in Willow Grove for a few hours. Maybe I'll hear something from Sloan-Kettering before the holiday, if not, after works too.
Knitting-wise, well, it's been finishing city here in the land of Sairy. I need to take pictures and will get them up for sure this weekend. I just re-did the vest that I previously knit in the wrong chest size. It is very cute, but it is too hot to wear now, so it will have to wait until the fall. Tonight, I'm trying to start the Tiramisu blanket that lulubird6 pointed out to me and the rest of us voxers a while ago. I have my crochet hook and yarn sitting here with me. I need to do a simple edge on the vest, block it / soak in some Soak, and then it will be fantastic in autumn! The first sock is almost done, and will be done by the weekend.
As for sock knitting, this sock has been done on 2 circs, and I picked up the book on Magic Loop while I was in Hoboken at Patricia's Yarns. I will definitely try the next pair using this method.
Pictures are needed. Argh. More later as battery is dying.
First, no job yet.
I HAVE A CAR XD
First time in my life that I've had my own car. 2007 Honda Fit, silver. Cutest.Car.EVER.
I will post pictures.
Resume is getting posted so many places it feels like spam
Knitting wise: no progress on sock. blue standard blanket done, pink and white squares are almost done (5 left – YAY) and need to be joined. Any ideas? 5.5"x5.5" garter stitch squares.
I will be forcing my mom to stop at a LYS on the way to visit my godmother. She just doesn't know it yet.
What is new with everyone?
